We Don’t Take Your Investment For Granted

If there are any issues with the windows we installed for you, we personally handle the warranty process. You’re not stuck navigating manufacturers, serial numbers, or warranty departments for hours while your home is exposed to outside threats.

We can easily submit a warranty claim using the exact model and measurements of the faulty window from our Jobber CRM logs. All of the information about your project, window specifications, and any past interventions is stored during the installation process.

All you have to do is let us know when we can come over and install the replacement. We take full responsibility.

6 Common And Less-Known Reasons Your Windows Break

Understand what causes window breakage and watch out for these details to make sure your windows last a long time.

Accidental Glass Breakage

If an object comes into contact with your window and accidentally breaks it, some manufacturers offer coverage. Your kids might’ve kicked a ball in the wrong direction, the lawnmower might’ve sent a rock flying at your window. It happens.

How Houses Behave

Believe it or not, your house is constantly moving. The foundation shifts, the framing expands and contracts, and seasonal changes take effect. When a window is installed with no room to move, the stress transfers directly to the glass, causing it to break.

Decorative Grid Issues

Shifting or damage to the decorative grids may appear as solely cosmetic issues. But the fix isn’t limited to the grid alone. Decorative grids are often sealed inside the glass unit. For proper repair, the insulated glass unit will need to be replaced.

Harsh Weather

From intense summer heat to severe storms and sudden temperature shifts, Tennessee’s weather conditions place a lot of stress on residential windows. It can accelerate wear, reduce efficiency, and, over time, leads to breakage.

Bad Installation

The installation is another major factor that affects a window’s performance. Old methods that force the window to fit tightly into the opening, without any room to move, transfer stress directly to the glass. It’s a subtle way that makes windows break.

Fogging Inside The Glass

Fogging may look like a cleaning issue, but it can signal a failed seal. When that happens, moisture enters the space between the panes, causing damage. It’s not a common issue, but when it happens, the glass unit itself needs replacement.

It’s All Covered By The Great Manufacturers We Work With

We pride ourselves on working with only the best window manufacturers out there. They offer some of the industry’s best warranties, so you get the best care on your windows.

Frequently Asked Questions

If one of the windows we installed for you gets damaged, stay calm and call us right away. We’ll use the information from our logs to complete the warranty claim for the specific manufacturer.

You’ll usually hear back from us the next day with details about the delivery and an estimate for installing the new parts or the window.

There are hundreds of window manufacturers. Many windows are installed without clear labeling, making it difficult to track down a repair. The process of identifying the brand and product line often takes more time and labor than simply replacing the window, with replacement parts not even available in the end.

No. The gold NFRC sticker is a certification label found on every window and stands for the National Fenestration Rating Council. It’s only a proof of performance and doesn’t mean the window is covered by warranty or provide any information about the manufacturer or the specific window model.

When you file a warranty claim, you report a product failure (such as material flaws, installation issues, and even accidental glass breakage) to the seller or manufacturer of your window.

For the warranty to apply, you need proof that you’re covered by their policy such as receipts and installation dates. You don’t need to deal with that when working with us. We handle all the warranty details once you call and let us know about your window damage.

In most manufacturer cases, the window lifetime warranty applies only as long as the homeowner owns the home. The labour warranty doesn’t pass to the next homeowner either; however, the manufacturer’s warranty will transfer.

Normal wear, aging, and even accidental damage are mostly covered by warranty. However, in rare cases when the damage is not accidental and the window is broken repeatedly within a short period (due to neglect or aggressive behaviour, such as objects being thrown or repeated impacts during arguments), the warranty will no longer apply.

Everything was completed cleanly and on time. Windows For Life replaced my old wood windows with new vinyl windows, and the entire process was smooth and professional

They installed 9 windows in total and even took the time to carefully reinstall all of my blinds. The crew went above and beyond by also fixing a leaking gutter on the back of my house.

I’m very impressed with their quality of work and highly recommend Windows For Life for anyone looking for reliable window replacement.
